Board President, Colene Schlaepfer, Ph.D., is a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist in private practice. She was formerly President of the Sacramento Valley Chapter of the California Marriage and Family Therapist Association and author of “Fishing By Moonlight, the Art of Enhancing Intimate Relationship”.

Secretary, Tony Browne is a management consultant experienced in working with and between community service organizations, assisting governing boards and senior executives to evaluate options, build relationships and achieve strategic objectives. His activities include affiliations and mergers, strategic planning, community and internal relations, governing board formation and training, and conflict resolution.

Treasurer, Catherine M. Van Erp is a Certified Public Accountant with 16 years of experience in accounting and tax services in local, regional and national accounting firms. She has been a partner for the past 10 years in a local accounting firm, Boxler & Van Erp, LLP. (SHMP founding board member)

Board Member, Ester Castillio, LCSW has 30 years extensive experience in Mental Health & Alcohol and Drug service. This includes 18 years experience in Administration, Supervision and Management. She brings strong analytical and organizational abilities as well as bilingual Spanish fluency and cultural competency. (Board member since 2/2006)

Board member, Quennon Coleman is an Engineer from SMUD specializing in Quality Management Trainings and the development of new program with this organization. He servers as an Elder and with his wife head of the Marriage Ministry for Christ Temple Apostolic Church.

Board Member, Peter Dannenfelser II, AIA, is the owner of Architectural Arts, with over 30 years experience in commercial Architecture. He has served on several boards including The Rotary Club of Sacramento, the Citizen's Advisory Board for the renovation of the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium and the Sacramento Valley Soaring Society .

Board Member, Linda Van Rees, CTFA, is a Vice President, Wealth Management Specialist, of Wells Fargo Private Bank. Linda’s primary role is to assure that planning is the foundation for ongoing relationship management. Linda assists clients build, manage, preserve and transition their wealth, whether it be through Investment Management accounts, Private Trusts, Charitable Trusts, Foundations, and Conservatorships. Linda’s community service involves Rotary Club of Sacramento, Sacramento Estate Planning Council, Sacramento Planned Giving Council, Mercy Community Council, Sutter Roseville Medical Center Foundation Planned Giving Committee and Sacramento Public Library Foundation.

Board Member, Dan McVeigh, JD, is an attorney with Downey Brand and Associates specializing in Lead trial counsel representing management in employment litigation including claims of wrongful discharge, violations of public policy and various discrimination claims based upon sex, age, race, disability, religion, pregnancy and marital status. Dan has a long history of community service and has served on numerous boards, including: Sacramento Downtown Rotary, the Effort, YMCA, Sacramento Public Library Foundation.

Board Member, David Hammer, MFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice with specialization in trauma therapy, domestic violence and anger management, play therapy for children, and chemical dependency.
